Pontoon Boats in Phoenix Arizona

Pontoon boats have come a long way in the past few years. It’s no longer just a boat to slowly cruise around the lake. There are luxury pontoons and tritoons now that can go fast and tow while still being spacious for friends and family.

Today pontoon & tritoon boats are now the best-selling recreational boat in Arizona. You couldn’t say that 10 years ago. Pontoons really weren’t given much respect in the past and some people still hang on to the old stigma, but today they are lighter and stronger than ever before and manufacturers are adding big horsepower to push these boats quickly across the water.

The power boost is what really started the revival. Single 50hp outboards are still around but now there are 250hp four-stroke outboards and even some twin 250s. At the Lake of the Ozarks Shootout a 25ft tritoon boat powered with three Mercury ProMax 300X outboards reached a speed of 114mph. WOW!

More power means more ways for boaters to use the pontoon boat. Now you can add a tower for wakeboarding and a pylon for skiing and tubing. It’s surprisingly a lot of fun! Today’s pontoons may not be exactly what hard core wakesports and waterski crowds are drawn to but they can handle all the watersports of a traditional runabout boat like Chaparral, SeaRay, or Four Winns. Pontoons will also seat everyone more comfortably and they are close to double the capacity.

Pontoons come in all different styles and sizes that will fit the needs of any boater and their budget. Pontoon boats can be built with smaller outboards for cruising around the lake at slower speeds or with more horsepower for towing skiers, tubers and wakeboarders. You can also go with a basic model to fit within a budget or you can look into the luxury pontoon models like Berkshire with all the bells and whistle including reclining seats and push button bimini tops.

Pontoons also make for great fishing boats. The wide beam and high freeboard makes for a roomy stable platform. You can also get the pontoon boat equipt specifically for fishing including a livewell, jump seats, and rod holders.

Pontoons offer many creature comforts. Interior seating is much nicer and plush with higher quality materials. Building materials have been upgraded with reinforced composite decking to be stronger and lighter than ever. You can also upgrade the sound systems and the electronics on the boat and customize your lake experience. Lastly, (my favorite) you can add an upper deck with an attached water slide which basically makes your boat a mini houseboat. It’s so much fun!

It’s a lifestyle choice. Luxury pontoons and tritoons are becoming the boat of choice for many boaters because it checks most of the boxes on a buyer’s lists and they can be more budget friendly.

With that, take a look at a new model from Berkshire that ‘s available for Sale!
